This host is one of our main news servers. We provide free access for people willing to peer news with us. We do as well provide a first class payed peering agreement with Silver:Usenet:Housing.

texta.sil.at is one of SILVER SERVERs main nntp-servers. As of 31.3.2005 the box is in full-production use. texta.sil.at is not intended to be used for reading news, it is one of the backends for news.sil.at. Currently there is no free access for our users to this service. For reader-access please use news.sil.at.

You may get direct access to texta.sil.at if you use a local cache (leafnote, newscache, ...) for serving more local users.
